Chickpeas-Spicy and oven-roasted

I had found a couple recipes on chickpeas and i tweaked them just a bit, creating just the right amount of heat for myself.  Feel free to add or reduce the amount of spices in your own personal creation.  These are great snacks for the health conscious person.

Ingredients

3 cans of organic chickpeas(garbanzo beans) drained and rinsed

3 tablespoons of coconut oil

2 teaspoon ground cumin

2 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder


Directions

Set oven to 400 F

Cover a baking pan with foil and rub some coconut or olive oil on the foil, place in oven to heat the pan

While pan is heating, place the chickpeas into a large mixing bowl and mix in the remaining ingredients.  Tossing or stirring until evenly coated.  Spread the chickpeas on the rimmed baking sheet and place in oven.  Bake approximately 35-45 minutes until crisp and lightly browned.  Remove from pan with a spatula, placing on trays or plates that are  lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.  May serve warm. Store in air tight container for up to 5 days in refrigerator.  Happy snacking!
