Welcome to Comfort At the Cross blog page. My name is Tara Logel and I am so grateful that you stopped by my own little creative piece of the web here. My goal is to encourage, inspire and revitalize my readers by covering various topics on everyday life. I live in the beautiful bluegrass state of Kentucky. I am a devoted wife and mother of four children with ages ranging from 12 years old to 14 months. I home school two of my children right now, which is a wonderful journey in and of itself, allowing me to learn alongside my children.
What this blog is about:
Faith, Family, Marriage, Parenting, Relationships and Friendships, Homeschooling, Food and Cooking, Fitness
I used to try very hard to be a perfect parent, wife and Christian. I would worry, struggle and plan, having many expectations and ideals on how i thought I should be. I am learning, however, that it is not until I lose my life that I gain it , and that in losing myself I am growing in Christ. As I learn to lean on Him fully day by day, I grow infinitely more, finding rest, peace, comfort and joy. This is the blessing of a christian walk. We may not always understand God’s ways, but as we learn to walk in faith and spend more time in prayer and reading our bibles, we can cultivate an attitude of trust in Jesus that will carry us through all of life’s ups and downs.
Marriage and parenting as well as other relationships and friendships with people can be difficult at times and other times very joyful. We all want our marriages to succeed and be full of love. We want our children to grow up healthy and strong, to be responsible, kind individuals that are well educated and have a strong faith in Christ. I hope to share from my own experiences in ways that can help others find strength and encouragement in times of need, as well as creative, fun and uplifting ideas and subjects to bring more enjoyment and richness to the lives of others.
I have a passion for cooking healthy food and maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. I hope to share recipes for the entire family to enjoy, and tips on fitness that can be incorporated into even the busiest of lifestyles. I believe God created us to MOVE physically and spiritually. So, just as none of us want to become stagnant in our spiritual lives and relationship with Christ, we also should not become motionless and inactive in our physical lives.
I hope this page will be a place for a community of like-minded people to share and enjoy. Please feel free to join in with comments and feedback. You are welcome to follow this blog for encouragement as well as find me on social media with the links provided.
“Go forth today, by the help of God’s Spirit, vowing and declaring that in life—-come poverty, come wealth, in death—come pain or come what may, you are and ever must be the Lord’s. For this is written on your heart, ‘We love Him because He first loved us.’” ~ Charles H. Spurgeon
